Good morning Year 2 and welcome to my final blog for this week. As next week is half term, my next blog will not be until the first day of June. There will also be no Learning Project to do next week, so I thought you might like some ideas about other activities.
Yesterday, which was Ascension Day, I was involved in an online meeting with some artists. The first artist was called Paul Carney. He has a great website where you can learn how to draw. You can start off at the foundation stage and gradually work your way through the different levels.
The second artist was called Sheila Ceccarelli and she is involved with an organisation called Access Art. This website also has some great resources and ideas. One idea was to draw a picture and make a card to send to your grandparents or to someone you love. There is also a little story to go with the Nonna Maria drawing challenge.
If you want some relaxing mindfulness colouring sheets, why not go to Twinkl and have a look at their bumper pack for KS1.
The National Literacy Trust has a free online book available called, The Book of Hopes. It has stories and poems from lots of famous authors.
After reading, or perhaps after riding your bike or running around you might want try something different. There are some lovely mindfulness videos to watch and take part in, such as the magnificent garden on YouTube.
As we are near to Pentecost on Sunday 31st May you might like to take part in an adventure. This is no ordinary adventure, but a prayer adventure with a map included too.
Whatever you do during the half term break I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to hearing all about it.
With love to you all,
from Mrs Phillips
