Good morning Year Three,
Today we celebrate the 75th anniversary of victory in Europe, a fantastic reason to celebrate as it marked the end of six years at war.
Even though it is a happy day today, we must also take a moment to be thankful that the war ended all those years ago and remember all those people who lost their lives. We should be thankful to them for the sacrifice they made.
“For our tomorrow they gave their today,” are the words spoken on Remembrance Day.
There are lots of houses covered with flags and bunting and many people will be taking a table into their front garden for a cup of tea too. Hopefully you will be celebrating today, on what looks like it’s going to be a lovely sunny day.
Take care and stay safe.
