Another busy week for the year 2 boys and girls! In our English lessons, we have had fun planning our narrative based on our traditional tale, “Little Red Riding Hood.” The children have all written some fantastic stories entitled “Grandma’s Great Escape Plan.” The wolf had locked grandma in the attic and put on one of her nightgowns and cap and waited impatiently for Little Red Riding Hood to arrive. Year 2 had some imaginative ideas of how grandma could escape, we know she is very resourceful and not afraid of the wolf.
Below are some wonderful, detailed pieces of writing by Bill and Erin
We have also shared our Willowburn acts of kindness. Each Friday the children have brought in their sheets and we have discussed them as a class. The leaves on the branches are filing up quickly as the children complete their goals. Lots of children have been helping their friends in school and family members at home and smiling at their teachers! We are aspiring to fulfil our Lenten promises made earlier in the term
In Music this week all our ocarina practise paid off. We played The Alphabet Song all the way through to the accompaniment. We followed the music in our ocarina booklets and know how to play the notes A, B and high D. It sounded fantastic and Mrs Troy was very impressed!
Mrs Smith and Mrs Troy wish you a lovely weekend!
