‘The Mission of All Saints’ School is to provide for its pupils an excellent quality of education which is inspired by the values of the Gospel, and which seeks to bring young people to their full and unique potential as children of God, in a supportive and caring environment.’
The Parish of All Saints incorporates Lanchester and Burnhope. Father Cornelius O’Connor is our Parish Priest as well as a Governor of our school. We are very fortunate to be so close to our Parish Church and we believe that the school is an important part in the life of the Parish and that the Parish is equally important in the life of our school.
Our school in next door to our Parish Church and we have an excellent special relationship with our Parish. Father O’Connor, our Parish Priest, regularly visits school to talk to the children as well as joining us for special events throughout the year. During the term, we join parishioners at weekday Masses and they join us and our parents for our school Masses. Some of our parishioners also come into school as volunteer helpers. This close partnership helps to make prayer, worship and liturgy a real educational experience for our children and contributes to the development of the faith of each individual in the school community. It also helps to foster the qualities of self-esteem, justice, honesty and respect for other people and cultures in our children.
