Fabulous First Week Back!

Year 4 have had a very busy first week back in school. Along with the rest of the school, we have transformed the main corridor with fabulous displays telling the Easter story. We wrote prayers linked to the scripture of Jesus sharing breakfast with his friends on the sea shore.

We then thought about Jesus meeting his friends on the road to Emmaus. We know how important our friendships are so we made paper chains of friends – and made sure we all included Jesus.

We were all delighted on Tuesday when we received our paintings that were exhibited in our school gallery to take home. They look so professional in their frames.

On Wednesday we all received ashes on our foreheads to recognise the beginning of Lent. In class, we all made our Lenten promises to either give up something or to do something for the six weeks leading up to Easter. There were lots of ideas to write on our Lenten hearts – giving up fizzy pop, crisps and sweets or helping around the house more and looking after pets better. We will be trying our very best to keep up our Lenten promises, please pray for us.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
